Yuhuan Passenger Transport Center conducts anti-terrorism exercises

2023-03-14

On the afternoon of March 13th at 17:00, as a man carrying a bag broke through the security checkpoint of the station, the anti-terrorism and riot drill at Yuhuan Passenger Transport Center officially began.

During the drill, a man who broke into the waiting hall refused to be inspected by security personnel and pulled out a kitchen knife from his bag, transforming into a "criminal". The central security personnel immediately guided the passengers inside the station to evacuate to a safe area. The station master quickly organized the security personnel to hold shields and riot steel forks and other weapons to force the "criminals" to an open space on one side of the hall, forming a "standoff" situation with the criminals and attracting their attention. Meanwhile, several other security personnel quietly surrounded the "thug" and used riot shields to knock him down. They then rushed forward, controlled their weapons, successfully subdued the thug, and called 110 to report the danger.

"The station has a large flow of people and emergency situations may occur at any time. We need to organize at least two anti-terrorism drills every year to enhance the anti-terrorism and security emergency awareness of personnel in various positions. In case of emergency situations, we can quickly and effectively handle them, allowing passengers to safely and confidently leave the station." said Ye Xiangcai, Director of Yuhuan Passenger Transport Center.
